K & K Sculpture Studio Reopens this Saturday, July 1st, 2017

After a 3-month break, K & K Studios is offering sculpture classes again. We reopen with good intentions of inspiring others and honing your sculpting and molding skills.

Many of our present students will be working on finishing some of their projects. Some are casting to bronze, others to resin. Some projects are just being properly molded for their future production. Some students are learning a new hobby.

Schedule of these classes is dependent on the student’s project’s demands and the instructor’s current project scheduling. Classes at this time are offered from 9am to noon on Saturdays. At 6th Street Business Park, 697 6th St, Prescott, AZ, suite 101. Cost is $40.00 cash or check per 3 hour session. Not including your art materials. Project details and needed supplies are discussed over email. Most are as follows:

Oil-based Clay

  1. Basic Sculpture Kit for ceramic and/or oil-based clay
  2. 9″x12″ sketchbook or larger
  3. Pencil or pen
  4. Eraser
  5. One sheet of tracing paper
  6. 2 to 10 pounds of oil-based clay (depending on your project)
  7. X-acto knife
  8. Pictures of project(s) to reproduce or that may inspire your own project(s)
  9. Proper armature for your project (will be discussed on day one of class, below items are just some possible materials)
  • One roll of aluminum foil
  • One pound (or more) of art wax (found on Art Store sales floor)
  • Various plumbing supplies (usually purchased with instructor after design is completed)
  • Melamine shelf material suitable for your project
  • Armature Wire

    Estimated costs of all above materials are $120.00 or less.
